Iran Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi discussed with his Libyan counterpart on Saturday inquired about seven Iranians kidnapped in the city of Benghazi by an unknown armed group. According to the report of Iranian Foreign Ministry Media Department, Salehi in his talk with Libyan Foreign Minister Ashour Bin Khalil asked about conditions of kidnapped Iranian citizens and underlined necessity of efforts to release them, Iran news agency (IRNA) reported. The Libyan Foreign Minister, by felicitating occasion of Eid Fitr, expressed hope that with the efforts of the Libyan government, they can be released soon. The kidnapped Iranian citizens are seven people who worked for Iran Red Crescent Society and were in Libya upon an invitation of Libyan officials.
