Israeli authorities decided Wednesday to partially open the Karem Abu Salem crossing to allow the entry of goods and aids into the Gaza Strip in addition to pumping limited amounts of cooking gas, Qatari fuel and Israeli industrial diesel which will be used to operate Gaza's only power plant. Palestinian Authority's liaison official Raed Fattouh said that the occupation authorities will allow the entry of 230 to 240 trucks loaded with aids for both commercial and agricultural sectors, including nine trucks of cement and iron and 40 trucks of gravel for UNRWA construction as well as four trucks of cement and iron and nine trucks of gravel for UNDP construction. The Israeli authorities on Tuesday opened the Karem Abu Salem crossing and allowed 232 trucks into Gaza.
