Palestinian Presidency Spoekesman Nabil Abu Rudeyne said Israeli settlements which would be built in West Bank would sabotage the peace efforts in the region. "Israel's decision is to sabotage the peace efforts which US President Barack Obama and US Secretary of State John Kerry have been trying to start in the region" told Rudeyde to Palestine News Agency WAFA. Rudeyne also claimed that Israel didn't seek peace between the two countries. However, Israel's Foreign Affairs Spokesman Yigal Palmor said "There is not a decision taken by the government on this subject" related to new settlements in West Bank."This expression was made by a mid-level officer. Some technical measures have been taken on this subject by the government, there is not a plan to start the construction soon. It's meaningless technically, a new construction will not start as actual and the reactions are too exaggerated" Palmor told the Anadolu Agency. -"Israel violates the international law clearly"- Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt condemned Israel's decision to build 296 Jewish settlements near the city of Ramallah. "This decision shows not only Israel's indifference for the peace efforts but also it is a clear violation of the international law" Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told in a written statement. Palestine wants Israel to stop the construction of Jewish settlements and the release of 4 thousand 611 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails to start peace talks. On the other hand, Israel wants Palestine to come to the table without preconditions for the peace talks.
