Labour Minister Nidal Katamin met with French Ambassador to Jordan Caroline Dumas and Director of French Development Agency (AFD) Representative Office in Jordan Herve Breton to discuss issues of common concern. The minister highlighted the French role in supporting Jordan’s economy, as well as the Kingdom’s desire to attract French investments into the Jordanian market to create job opportunities for Jordanians in various sectors. The ambassador spoke about projects being implemented by French companies, along with problems facing French companies operating in Jordan and which affect the level of French investments in Jordan. She also stressed the need to remove obstacles that hinder work of French companies, adding this would further boost bilateral cooperation. Further, the ambassador expressed her country’s desire to implement projects that would contribute to solving problems facing the Kingdom’s transport sector.
