
Minister of State for Migration and Egyptian expatriates Nabila Makram said on Tuesday that the illegal migration issue is a societal one and that it would be tackled from a comprehensive perspective and awareness to eliminate it through the efforts of the ministries and civil society and citizens.
During the tenth economic conference of Egypt's banks on Tuesday, she stressed the importance of changing the culture of people on illegal migration and focusing on training to qualify youths for providing with job opportunities.
She said that Egypt was one of the biggest exporter of illegal migration among minors especially to Italy as the main gate to Europe.
The minister said her ministry seeks to provide jobs for youths and convince them that illegal migration is unsafe.
