US President Barack Obama commended British Prime Minister David Cameron for a recent military raid that freed several hostages in Afghanistan. The president, in a phone call mostly to discuss bilateral issues Tuesday, also congratulated Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth on the occasion of her Diamond Jubilee, as Britain celebrates the queen's 60th year on the throne. The leaders discussed the economic situation in Europe in addition to the economic summit for leaders of the G20 to be held later this month in Los Cabos, Mexico. The upcoming G20 summit is expected to focus on spurring global economic growth which has be threatened by the crisis in the euro zone.
