The ODIHR mission of international monitors and OSCE Parliamentary Assembly arrives in Tirana Monday to closely attend the June 23 parliamentary elections. The OSCE/ODIHR EOM, headed by Conny B. McCormack, has a core team of 15 international staff drawn from 14 OSCE participating states based in the head office in Tirana. Thirty long-term observers are expected to arrive in the country and will be deployed in teams of two throughout the regions. The Parliamentary Assembly team will be chaired by its special representative for Southeastern Europe Roberto Battelli, Slovenian deputy.
