Mali Contact Group of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation set to convene on Monday The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is set to host a ministerial meeting of its Mali Contact Group in Saudi Arabia's Jeddah on Monday. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will represent Turkey at the meeting. In a written statement released on Sunday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said Turkey attached great importance to political stability, territorial integrity, and the sovereignty of Mali. "We have extended our support for Mali with high-level bilateral visits. During a visit of Malian foreign minister in Turkey, an action plan was prepared to develop our relations in every field. On the other hand, we raised up the Malian issue in a congress of the OIC in February and urged the organization to extend support to Mali. The ministerial meeting of Mali Contact Group in Jeddah will provide an opportunity to evaluate the progress and determine the mutual steps to be taken in Mali," the ministry said.
