The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) condemned on Sunday the "terrorist" attacks of Israeli settlers in the West Bank and held the Israeli government accountable for such acts. "The horrific actions of the jewish settlers is fully protected by the Israeli government," said Dr. Saeb Erekat, member of the PLO's Executive Committee, in a statement to "Voice of Palestine" radio station. Erekat pointed out that building illegal settlements on occupied Palestinian lands, including Jerusalem is a "war crime" and the attacks of the Israeli settlers is defended by Israeli government. He pledged to spare international protection for the Palestinian people. Erekat's statements came on the heels of yesterday's attacks by jewish settlers protected by Israeli forces in Ras Karkar in western Ramallah. Jewish settlers raided Palestinian homes wounding severel people. In addition, hundreds of settlers accompanied by Israeli forces clashed with Palestinians, who were only protecting their possessions in Bir Ayoub neighborhood.
