At least seven police officers were killed in a suicide bombing attack on a funeral service in Ingushetia and eight worshippers were injured when gunmen opened fire in a mosque in Dagestan, dpa reported. The attacks, which coincided with the end of Ramadan, have been blamed on radical rebels seeking independence from Moscow. In the Republic of Ingushetia, a suicide bomber attacked a funeral service for an officer on Sunday, killing seven policemen and injuring a ten others, Russia's Interfax news agency reported. The attack came a day after the attack on a mosque in Dagestan. After the shooting inside the building, the assailants planted two explosive devices, one of which exploded, investigators said.
