Russian helicopter crashes in Siberia

A Russian helicopter carrying nine people, including senior rescue service officials, has crashed in the Irkutsk region of southern Siberia, A Mi-8 helicopter that went missing while monitoring the flood situation in the Irkutsk region, southeastern Siberia, was found crashed, the fate of people onboard is being established, according to Russian News Agency (Itar-Tass) . There were ten people onboard, supposedly including an acting head of the Irkutsk region main emergencies department. The helicopter that flew to monitor the floods in Siberia also carried 1.9 tonnes of ammonite, an explosive substance, the source said.
