South Korea has on Tuesday warned North Korea against launching provocative acts against it as Pyongyang has a track record of testing each new government in Seoul after presidential elections, according to South Korean Foreign Minister Kim Sung-Hwan. Analysts and officials in Seoul are keeping close eyes on North Korea’s unpredictable behavior during a period of political transition in northeast Asia, Yonhap News Agency reported. South Koreans go to the polls on December 19 to elect a new president with China also undergoing a once-in-a-decade leadership change to the ruling Communist Party this month. A snap general election is also likely to take place in Japan.
