Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on Saturday departed for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to take part in the18th African Union Summit. Iran takes part in the meeting as an observer member of the Union. Salehi is scheduled to meet high ranking officials in Addis Ababa on the sidelines of the summit and discuss with them major regional and international issues. The two days Summit starts on Sunday with the participation of 54 heads of African States and some observers in Addis Ababa as the permanent headquarters of AU. The theme of the 18th AU Summit is “Expansion of trade relations among African States”
