Saudi Arabia has expressed the hope that a meeting by the Human Rights Council of the UN in Geneva would help improve the situation in Syria,. end the bloodshed there and reach a compromise acceptable to all parties. The Saudi representative at the meeting, Ahmed Fahd al Mark said the kingdom''s call for resorting to wisdom and to maintaining stability in Syria emanated from its desire to stem bloodshed, stop violence and halt all violations of human rights. Al Mark called for resorting to wisdom in dealing with the situation in Syria , and urged Syrians to avoid resorting to violence , halting the use of force and respecting the right of citizens to live in dignity.
