Chairman of the Supreme Court ,Judge Essam al-Samawi, met on Saturday with coordinator of the justice sector support project in Yemen. The project is implemented by the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) and funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The two sides discussed the procedures to start the implementation of the project and ways of succeeding its. At the meeting, Judge al-Samawi confirmed the keenness on taking advantage of the Italian support in aspects of training, rehabilitation , capacity building and modernization of the curricula of the Higher Judicial Institute to improve the quality of judicial work in Yemen. For her part, the Italian official confirmed her country's keenness to support the judiciary in Yemen based on the actual needs in the areas of training and rehabilitation in a continuous and academic manner at the Higher Judicial Institute with targeting remote areas.
