The Permanent Military Court of Sfax decided on Monday and for the second time to postpone for next September 5 hearing of the case of security officer Omrane Abdelaâli, charged with the murder of martyr Salim Hadhri in Kerkennah, during the events of the Revolution. The court is waiting, according to the statement of its President Mahmoud Fawzi Masmoudi, for the results of forensic and technical police reports. At the opening of the trial, on Monday morning, the defense requested the release of the defendant pending the end of the investigation and the justification of his guilt. Outside the court, citizens considered this decision as "delay and lack of independence of the judiciary."
