Europe has to prioritize offering support for Tunisia, French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said, adding that the north African country's success and stability is deemed a success to the Mediterranean region and Europe at large.
Delivering a speech during the inaugural session of the international conference on economic support and investment promotion, Valls said that his country has granted Tunisia euros 1.25 billion within the framework of a support program that will run till 2020.
Also, 250 million euros have been allocated by the Agence Francaise De Developpement (AFD) for investments in Tunisia-based projects, Valls added.
He noted that France is engaged in a process meant to turn all Tunisian debts into development projects, calling on other Tunisia's partners to follow suit.
Earlier on Tuesday, an international conference on economic support and investment promotion kicked off, under the theme "TUNISIA 2020".
