Fares Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation for Security and Military Affairs, met here on Wednesday, Mikhail Bogdanov, Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia.
During the meeting, the duo discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, as well as means of strengthening co-ordination in security and military space. They also exchanged views on regional issues, especially the developments in Syria and Yemen.
The meeting also focussed on the UAE’s humanitarian support in Syria, international initiatives to fight terrorism and extremism, and political support to the ongoing efforts to end the Syrian crisis.
Alexander Efimov, Russian Ambassador to the UAE, and several officials from the UAE Ministry attended the meeting.
