The US State department and the US Special Representative to Muslim Communities, Farah Pandith, will host the first-every strategy session on Diversity, Inclusion and US Foreign Policy with 100 top government and private sector leaders, according to a statement released late Tuesday. The day-long program will include discuss the impact of diverse professional environments and the way in which the diversity and inclusion agenda informs US foreign policy, according to the State department. Top diversity leaders in attendance will range from the White House, Congress, the State department, Peace Corps, the US Marine Corps, and the US Navy, and Chief Diversity Officers from leading US corporations, educational institutions. In addition to nonprofit and other organizations, including Merck, Citigroup, Wal-Mart, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, McDonald's, Abercrombie Fitch, GlaxoSmithKline, American Red Cross, United Way Worldwide, Harvard University, Cornell University, and many others.
