Interior Minister Abdul-Qader Qahtan met here on Monday with non-resident ambassador of Austria Gregor Koessler. During the meeting, Qahtan and Koessler reviewed the latest developments of the case of an Austrian kidnapped last December in the capital Sana'a and the underway efforts to free him. Armed men abducted two Finns and an Austrian in Tahrir area at the capital on December 21, 2012. The Minister reviewed the efforts being made by the ministry in this regard, stressing that all security services are doing their best to ensure the release of the Austrian return him home safe and as soon as possible. Koessler expressed his appreciation of the Interior Ministry's efforts to free the Austrian kidnapped, asserting the Austrian government's support to Yemen's security authorities and its reforms to improve the security action performance and achieve the political, economic and security stability.
