3 children martyred in Israeli attack on Gaza

Three children including two brothers were martyred and 20 others, mostly children, wounded on Thursday evening, in an Israeli artillery shelling that targeted Al-Shojae'ya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City.
Palestinian medical sources said that two brothers Imad (7) and Qassem Alwan (4) and Sarah Bustan (13) were killed and 20 others, most of them children, were injured in an Israeli artillery bombardment of the eastern areas of Al-Shojae'ya neighbourhood.
In another incident, five Palestinians were injured, one of them critically, in the artillery and aerial bombardment of the Israeli town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip Thursday evening.
Israel began last night a ground operation in the Gaza Strip, after the incessant shelling of the strip over 11 days. Israel has paved the way for the operation with an intense bombardment of north and south Gaza Strip.
