Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat Sunday referred 215 members of terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) members to criminal court for trial.
They face charges of forming the Helwan Brigades which committed crimes against police and their establishments as well as power transformers.
As many as 90 members are still at large.
In August 2014, the self-proclaimed militia published a video on the internet of a group of armed and masked men vowing to target police facilities in Helwan City, southern Cairo.
