
Cairo Criminal Court sentenced on Saturday Muslim Brotherhood Mohamed Badie and 13 other group leaders to life in prison for inciting violence.
Badie, his deputies Khairat al-Shater and Rashad Bayoumi and 15 other Brotherhood members face charges of killing protesters outside the Muslim Brotherhood headquarters in Mokattam on on June 30 and July 1, 2013.
The are also charged with premeditated murder, attempted murder, possession of explosives and firearms, and incitement to murder.
Defendants sentenced to life in prison also include Mohamed El-Beltagy, Essam el-Erian and Mohamed Saad al-Katatni.
The defendants also included four sentenced to death.
