
Member of the Advisory Committee at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC)’s Saeed Mohammed Al-Faihani has been elected as Deputy Chairman of the Committee in its 14th session.
Al-Faihani will represent the Asian region at the committee's office, considering Bahrain's landmark human rights achievements over the past few years, which are appreciated by the human rights bodies at the United Nations.
Al-Faihani said that electing him came as a result for the success of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's reform project, putting the human rights at the Kingdom's priorities.
