
Kuwaiti Ambassador, Head of the Diplomatic Corps, Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al-Sabah, paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, hailing his participation in the festivities marking Kuwait's National Day and the Liberation Day.
He hailed the Premier for his role in bolstering bilateral relations bonding Kuwait and Bahrain. "The participation of Bahrainis in Kuwait's national days epitomizes deep-rooted fraternal relations", he said, stressing the strong solidarity between the two countries in joy and adversity.
In a statement today, he hoped stronger GCC cohesion would reign between member countries, being the indispensable bulwark that staves off mounting challenges and growing threats. He extended greetings and congratulations to Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince Shaikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Shaikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on this occasion.
He expressed deep pride at the status of Kuwait and its leader , who were declared by the UN respectively as an "international humanitarian centre" and Humanitarian Leader. "Any honour to Kuwait is also an honour to all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states", he said, paying homage to Kuwaiti martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of their homeland.
