Representatives Council Member Ghazi Al-Rahma said Bahrain has always been the best example for tolerance in the region. The MP said the large number of mosques, community centres (matams), churches and temples in the kingdom indicated the spirit of co-existence characterising the Bahraini community. He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his keenness to guarantee religious freedom for all faiths and sects.
The lawmaker also praised the role of the government, led by Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, in promoting the culture of diversity and freedom, turning Bahrain into an oasis of tolerance and co-existence. He lauded the efforts of the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa in carrying out the government's plans and catering for religious needs of all sects in Bahrain.
