
The Kingdom of Bahrain will host the 10th Meeting of Chairman and Speakers of Shura and Representatives Councils and National Assemblies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
The meeting on Wednesday, November 23 seeks to continue to build on the outcome of the ninth meeting held in November 2015 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, where all the six GCC-Member States participated.
The heads of GCC parliaments will discuss the annual report of the ninth session of legislative councils speakers and associated committees for the year 2016 and also discuss the report on the joint Arabian Gulf work submitted from the GCC General Secretariat.
The officials will also discuss the memorandums of the General Secretariat regarding topics of mutual concern, the GCC parliamentary committee related to boosting the GCC-EU parliamentary ties, and the General Secretariat's memorandum regarding the joint Gulf informatics network regarding the threats of terrorism and terrorist organisations.
The meeting will discuss Bahrain's proposal submitted regarding the statement in denunciation of the sinful ballistic missile that targeted the sanctity of Makkah, and will also discuss the Kuwait's proposal to reconsider the continuity of cooperation with Arab Parliament Union (APU)'s Parliamentary & Legislative Studies Training Institute.
