
A Bahraini delegation, led by Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, left for Egypt today to take part in the 24th General Conference of Egyptian Endowments Ministry's Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs on the greatness of Islam.
Shaikh Abdulrahman underlined the importance of the conference in highlighting main challenges facing Muslims, stressing the need for Muslim leaders and scholars to join hands to protect Islam from those who are trying to tarnish it by tuning the religious rhetoric with the present.
The two-day conference will kick off on Saturday in Cairo under the aegis of Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al-Sissi.
