
Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Omani counterpart Yousuf bin Alawi are scheduled Monday to chair the 13th session of the joint commission meetings at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry's HQ in Cairo.
The preparatory meetings started on Sunday under Egypt's Assistant FM for Arab Affairs Abdul Rahman Salah and Omani Assistant FM for Economic Affairs Yahya Al Araimi.
The Egyptian-Omani joint commission meetings take place for the first time in five years.
The two sides discussed cooperation proposals, draft agreements and MoUs in various fields.
The preparatory meetings also dealt with ways to boost joint investment and establish a mechanism to follow up draft agreements and MoUs scheduled to be signed during the joint commission meetings.
