
Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Tuesday said that constant meetings among the GCC mbmer states support security action and establish the concept of the Gulf security.
He indicated that security consequences in the neighboring countries have an impact on the GCC security, calling for concerted efforts, cooperation and coordination to overcome these consequences.
He made this press statement after receiving undersecretaries of the GCC ministers of interiors who are participating in the GCC preparatory meeting ahead of the 33rd GCC Interior ministers' meeting hosted by Kuwait.
Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled noted that constructive and fruitful cooperation and teamwork action among the GCC contributes to maintaining the GCC gains in different domains and strengthening joint programs and plans.
He hoped that the meeting of the GCC Interior ministries' undersecretaries could produce suitable recommendations to face challenges in the region, saying such recommendations would strengthen security cooperation as well.
Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled stressed the depth of relation among the GCC countries, which seek constantly to maintain the GCC security through unified security strategic mechanisms in the region.
The minister called for constant work in the upcoming period in the framework of making the GCC security one system to the extent that guarantees data and information exchange and benefits from new techniques.
