
King Abdullah II of Jordan's visit to Egypt reflects the deeply-rooted relations binding Cairo and Amman, said Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan Khaled Tharwat Thursday.
The ambassador told MENA that the visit exchange between the leaders of Jordan and Egypt asserts that the two countries share the same stances and visions regarding regional and Arab issues.
The Egyptian people and leadership highly appreciate King Abdullah's and Jordanians' support for Egypt in all arenas, he added.
The diplomat noted that both Egypt and Jordan believe in the importance of international, Islamic and Arab solidarity against terrorism and extremism.
On Palestine, Cairo and Amman stressed the importance of reviving peace talks between the Palestinians and Israelis in accordance with the two-state solution and the Arab peace initiative, he said.
Earlier in the day, King Abdullah wrapped up his three-day visit to Egypt.
