
King Abdullah II of Jordan returned Thursday home following a brief visit to Egypt during which he held talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The talks focused on Jordanian-Egyptian ties as well as the latest developments in the Middle East.
During the talks, which were attended by senior officials from both countries, the two leaders expressed their satisfaction over the level of bilateral relations.
King Abdullah reiterated Jordan's firm stance in support of Egypt as well as its vital role at the Arab and regional levels.
Also, President Sisi expressed his appreciation for Jordan support to Egypt highlighting vital role played by Amman in the UN Security Council to support Arab states' interests.
The two leaders reviewed developments at the regional and international levels and ways to deal with challenges, in order to preserve the security and stability of the region.
They stressed the need for concerted efforts by Arab and Islamic countries and the international community to deal firmly with the threat of terrorism and extremism.
