Qatar took part in the Global Law Summit, which kicked off Monday at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Center in London and lasts for three days.
HE Justice Minister Dr. Hassan bin Lahdan Al Hassan Al Mohannadi chaired Qatar's delegation to the conference.
In a press statement, HE the minister said participating in the conference is a god opportunity to discuss legal cooperation between Qatar and the United Kingdom as well as other participant countries through exchanging meetings with heads of delegations and benefiting from the lectures and workshops on the rule of law, technological development in the field of justice, investment laws and combating corruption.
HE Al Mohannadi added that taking part in the conference is also a good opportunity as Qatar prepares for hosting the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in April.
Dr. Al Mohannadi had visited the pavilion of Qatar Financial Centre in the exhibition accompanying the event and met with its representatives. He was also briefed on the center and what it does as part of the pillars of Qatar's economic sector.
On the sidelines of his participation, HE Al Mohannadi is set to meet his British counterpart for talks on bilateral relations, particularly in the legal and judicial fields.
HE the minister will also make a group of field visits to British courts and meet some of their officials to discuss legal and judicial matters and exchange expertise in the fields of arbitration and litigation.
