Personal Representative of His Majesty the King Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa has led the kingdom's delegation to the Connect Arab Summit (CAS 2012), opened here this morning under the patronage of the Qatari Amir Shaikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and will run until March 7. Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad took pride in representing HM the King at the Summit aiming to strengthen channels of communication, cooperation and partnership between Arab leaders, build partnerships with leading international information and communication technologies (ICT) and enhance the role of the private sector in order to shape up a united Arab strategic vision in this regard, amid the growing importance of ICT in the Arab region, which requires the region. HM the King's Personal Representative also appreciated highly brotherly Qatar's hosting of such a key summit, affirming that the kingdom has, under HM King Hamad's pioneering Reform Project, made qualitative leaps in ICT so as to keep abreast of the latest technologies, which, he asserted, has entitled it to be among the most leading both the Arab and international arenas in this vital field.
