
Saudi Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq bin Fowzan Al-Rabee'a announced today that this year's Hajj season was epidemic free and that all pilgrims enjoyed complete health.
In a press conference held at Mina Hospital for Emergencies in this valley of Mina on the outskirts of Makkah, the minister said that his ministry has equipped 25 hospitals in Makkah, sacred places and Al-Madinah, 158 health centers, and recruited as many as 26,000 health personnel.
A new 20-bed hospital in vicinity of the grand mosque was opened, ten health centers developed in Arafat, anti sun-stroke rooms expanded and developed in six hospitals, an evacuation area created in the Jamarat station for walking teams and early preventive control works intensified at 15 remote city border centers for health control, the minister added, Saudi Press Agency SPA reported.
