Sultan Qaboos addresses his people on 44th national anniversary

Sultan Qaboos Bin Said of Oman, currently in Germany for medical treatment, has addressed his people on the occasion of the approaching 44th anniversary of the "renaissance march." "I am pleased to congratulate you on this happy occasion which coincided, by His Almighty's will, with me being outside the dear homeland for the reasons you are aware of," Sultan Qaboos said in his statement, broadcast by the official media here. Sultan Qaboos, in his statement marking the 44th anniversary of his assumption of the throne, indicated that results of his medical treatment were good and his condition warranted "follow-up according to the medical schedule during the coming period of time." He expressed deep gratitude to the Omani people for their sincere sentiments of compassion.
Sultan Qaboos has been in Germany for medical treatment since six months ago.
