
The terrorist attack occurred in Boulaaba in the governorate of Kasserine and left four elements of the national guard dead will never go unpunished, the Tunisian cabinet said.
After an emergency meeting with President Beji Caid Essebs, the Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid pledged to pursue terrorists whatever their whereabouts to establish security and stability nationwide.
"This cowardly attack will increase the Government's determination to track down terrorists wherever they are and stamp out terrorism in the country," he added.
The war on terror is "grueling and for the long haul, which calls for joint efforts, stronger national cohesion," the statement added.
The statement also urged vigilance, readiness, perseverance and sacrifice and hailed national guards, the army and police for their great sacrifices during their fight against terrorism.
