
UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) said on Sunday that violence claimed the lives of 1,184 Iraqis since February 2013.
In a statement, UNAMI office said that 692 civilians were among the toll, while at least 2,571 were wounded in the same period.
The most violent city was the capital, Baghdad, with 329 civilians killed and 875 wounded, followed by Anbar province with 81 killed, and Diyala province with 73 killed, the statement said.
The UN office said all casualty statistics were registered by its office, except for Anbar province which was recorded by Anbar's health information district.
