The Arab foreign ministers at their meeting in Cairo on Sunday warned Israel over its provocative actions in the al-Aqsa mosque complex in Al-Quds.
In a statement issued at the end of the 144st session of the Arab League foreign ministers council, the ministers also warned against Judaizing the holy mosque.
The warning came after Israeli police clashed with Palestinian youths after entering the al-Aqsa mosque complex.
Al-Aqsa is one of Islam's holiest sites and Palestinians want East Jerusalem, annexed by Israel in 1967, as the capital of a state they aspire to establish in the occupied West Bank and in the Gaza Strip.
The Arab ministers called on the UN Security Council to shoulder its responsibilities in maintaining international peace and security.
The statement said the council will take all required actions according to international law to prevent Israeli onslaughts against the mosque and holy shrines in the occupied lands.
