US President Barak Obama on Tuesday telephoned Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, to discuss the newly Iran nuclear agreement with the 6 world powers and the situation in Yemen, according to the White House.
In two separate phone calls, Obama expressed Washington's commitment to cooperate with the Arab Gulf countries in contouring Iran's activities that threat the stability of the region.
They also discussed the urgent need to stop the fighting in Yemen and ensure assistance for all Yemenis through international humanitarian aid.
Obama will hold today a press conference on the historical nuclear deal that was reached between Iran and the six powers.
