12 killed in road mishap in northern India

At least 12 people were killed in a road mishap in the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh in Northern India, a senior police official said Monday."The mishap happened Sunday night when the car in which the victims were traveling rolled into a deep gorge in the state's Chamba district. The victims, returning from a local cricket match, died on the spot. Rescuers recovered their bodies this morning," an official said, Xinhua reported.The victims were all below 30 years of age, he said, adding that a probe has been ordered into the incident.
