At least 14 people were killed in a road accident that happened early Tuesday morning near Taxila, a tourist spot located some 40 kilometers west of Pakistan's capital Islamabad, reported local Urdu TV channel Geo.According to the local media reports, the accident took place when a passenger van caught fire following an explosion of a CNG cylinder which supplied fuel onto the van.The explosion occurred when the van hit a roadside barrier after one of its tires burst, said eyewitnesses.Most of the people on the van, including several women and children, were burned to death and their bodies can hardly be recognized, said rescue workers who arrived at the scene shortly after the accident was reported.Some of the injured people have been shifted to a hospital in Islamabad, they said.Police believed that overloading and overspeed could be the reasons for the accident.
