
Two police officers were killed and 5 wounded in an attack on police checkpoint by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in the eastern Turkish province of Sirnak on early Sunday morning, Dogan News reported.
The PKK bomb attack on police checkpoint in Sirnak was held by car, while two police officers killed, five police were injured. Security forces have launched an operation with helicopter right after the attack and killed 2 PKK militants.
The Turkish military's operations against terrorists inside and outside the country will continue, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told a joint press conference with visiting European Union Council President Donald Tusk on Thursday.
Clashes between the Turkish army and the PKK have been intensified since July, claiming dozens of the lives of security personnel.
The PKK is designated a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union and the United States.
