At least five elderly people were killed while another one is critically injured when a tricycle driver hacked them to death in the central Philippine province of Aklan Saturday morning, police said. Police said the incident happens around 5:30 am Saturday at Bulwang village in Numancia town. Suspect Errol Roldan, 25, immediately surrendered to police authorities after he saw them coming. He was currently in the Numancia detention cell. Based on police investigation, the suspect, who was observed to have mental illness, had bolo and axe in his two hands. The suspect used bolo in hacking the victims, aged from 52 to 98 years old. Police authorities considered the case closed.
