The man who allegedly abducted and killed a Cleveland woman and her baby before committing suicide was "heartless," a relative of his victims said. Investigators said it appeared Thomas Lorde, 35, a convicted sex offender, shot and killed Latasha Jackson, 19, whom he had dated for a time, and her daughter Chaniya Wynn, 1, before taking his own life. Their bodies were found in a garage Sunday. "He's cold, and he's heartless, and everyone knew that," Jean Bullock, Latasha's aunt and Chaniya's great-aunt, told WJW-TV, Cleveland. Employees at a carry-out story where Jackson had stopped shortly before she and her daughter were kidnapped said she appeared to be free of any concern. "She was laughing. She was smiling, and she left, and she said, 'Bye,' you know," store clerk Mike Mansour said. The TV station reported the last known images of the victims were captured on the store's surveillance camera. The video shows Jackson pushing a stroller carrying Chaniya accompanied by Jackson's 14-year-old brother, David Thomas. "I didn't actually think he would end up killing my 1-year-old niece and my sister. I didn't think he had it in him," her brother said. "He walked up. He was like, 'Check this out.' He pulled out a gun and pointed it at me, and told me to go on, and I was there looking around, and that's when he grabbed the stroller from my sister, told my sister to walk, and he called her a 'B.' And that's when I walked up the street, and I went back to the house and called the police."
