Re-elected Argentine President Cristina Fernandez met here Saturday with Chinese President Hu Jintao's special envoy Jiang Shusheng to promote bilateral relations. Jiang, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, conveyed to Fernandez congratulations and good wishes of Hu and Premier Wen Jiabao. China always treats China-Argentina relations from strategic perspectives, and is ready to work with Argentina in various fields to further promote bilateral ties for the benefit of the two peoples, he said. For her part, Fernandez said that Argentina attaches great importance to developing its relations with China. Argentina, she said, is willing to boost win-win cooperation with China in such fields as economy and trade, culture and science and technology, and further enhance the strategic partnership between the two countries. Jiang, who arrived here Friday, attended the inauguration ceremony of Fernandez on Saturday.
