A total of 754 people were confirmed dead and three people are missing in the floods that hit Bangkok, provinces in the upper part of the country and in the South, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department said on Thursday. The floods still prevail in six provinces, effecting about 4 million people. The six provinces are Ayutthaya, Lopburi, Nakhon Pathom, Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi and Bangkok. The department last Friday reported the death toll at 740. Earlier, the department declared cold spell disaster zones in north, northeast, and some central provinces.
