Dozens of people were injured on Monday as clashes erupted near the Ukrainian parliament building in central Kiev between police and protesters, who opposed constitutional amendments on decentralization.
The press service of the Interior Ministry said at least 50 police officers were injured in the clashes and four of them were in serious condition.
At least three journalists who covered the clashes, and several protesters were injured.
Most of the injuries occurred when an explosive device was thrown at the police officers who set up a cordon around the parliament building.
The protesters were demanding that lawmakers oppose a decentralization bill that would give more rights to the areas in Donetsk and Lugansk regions controlled by pro-independence insurgents.
