As part of the kingdom's policy to support brotherly and friendly countries which have been stricken by natural disasters, Secretary General of the Royal Charity Organization (RCO) Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed paid a visit to earthquake-hit Van province, Turkey.He delivered the first 40-tonne aid consignment, which included tents and blankets, to help the earthquake victims who are suffering from chilly winter weather with temperatures dipping as low as 15 degrees Celsius below zero.The move is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Honorary President of RCO, and the organization's Board of Trustees Chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.The delivery was handed over to Van Mayor at Erzurum Airport in the presence of Bahraini Ambassador to Turkey Dr. Ibrahim Al Abdullah.Van Mayor extended thanks to HM the King and Shaikh Nasser lauding Bahrain's humanitarian stance in supporting the Turkish people and easing the suffering of the quake victims.
