More than 100 houses were burned down and several people injured on Thusday in a fire in a sea village near Kota Kinabalu , capital of Malaysia's Sabah state in the east peninsular. The fire started at around 2 a.m., and quickly spread. Firefigters were called to the scene to extinguish the blaze, and the fire was completely put out before 6 a.m.. More than 100 wooden houses and 10 cars were destroyed, and 8 people injured. Some villagers said that the fire was triggered by electrical short. Local police told reporters that some 1,000 villagers were evacuated to the local community center.
